Flaps turns your Apple Health day into a split-flap departure board. If something is not working, or you want to ask for a feature, this page is the fastest way to reach me — I answer every message myself.

Get in touch

Each form asks only what that kind of message needs, and your app version, build and device are filled in automatically when you open it from inside the app (Settings → Feedback).

Or email me directly at pawanpreetsingh@icloud.com. Please include your iOS version and device if you are reporting a problem.

Common questions

The board is empty, or shows dashes

Flaps reads from Apple Health, so a tile has nothing to show until Health has data for that metric on that day. Two things to check. First, permissions: open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Privacy & Security → Apps, choose Flaps, and turn on the categories you want on your board. Flaps asks for read access only — it never writes to Health. Second, the metric itself: figures like VO₂ max, cardio recovery or wrist temperature are written by an Apple Watch, so they stay blank if you do not wear one.

If you would rather see what the app looks like before granting anything, turn on Settings → Demo data and the board fills with sample values.

I granted access but a number looks wrong

When more than one device writes the same metric — a watch, a phone and a ring all counting steps — Health can hold several versions of the same day. Open the tile, tap the info icon, and you can choose which source feeds that metric. Flaps Pro adds Smart Merge, which picks the highest-priority device for each part of the day instead of adding them together.

A widget or complication shows the wrong metric

Each metric is its own widget, so pick the one you want by name when you add it: press and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, search for Flaps, and scroll to the metric. The Two Tiles, Tile Row and Board widgets follow the board you build in the app, so reorder your tiles there and the widgets follow.

I paid for Flaps Pro and it is locked

Open the app, go to Settings → Flaps Pro and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Flaps Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it is included in Family Sharing. If it still does not unlock, send me the email address on your Apple Account and the approximate date of purchase and I will sort it out.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through them — visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account that bought it.

Where is my data kept?

On your device. Flaps reads Health on the device and keeps a small snapshot in its own app-group container so the widgets and the Watch app can draw the same numbers. Nothing is uploaded, there are no accounts and there is no analytics. Deleting the app removes that snapshot; your Health data itself stays in Health, where you control it. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Which devices does it need?

Flaps runs on iPhone and iPad, with an Apple Watch app and complications. An Apple Watch is optional — the iPhone alone records steps, distance, flights and daylight.
